Full Description:
The Miramar City Clerk's office is an acceptance agency for the United States Department of Passport Services.
A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer. A valid U.S. passport is required to enter and leave most foreign countries. Only the U.S. Department of State has the authority to grant, issue or verify United States passports.
IN THE NEWS:
CNN: The Homeland Security Department will require virtually all air travelers entering the United States after January 23 to show passports -- even U.S. citizens.
Passports are processed by appointment only.
Call 954-602-3011 to schedule a specific time.
Normal processing hours are:
Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Processing takes approximately 20 minutes.
All passport applicants must be present including children of all ages.
